This week, Representative Norine Hammond had the privilege of attending the State Agriculture and Rural Leaders (SARL) conference in Alberta, Canada. SARL is an organization dedicated to promoting and fostering educational opportunities, cooperation and leadership among leaders that are passionate about agriculture and rural communities. The group is made up of state and provincial officials from the United States and Canada.
“Ag and rural issues are of significant interest to the 93rd District. So much of the information that is shared within SARL allows me to continue my growth as a representative of our rural communities,” Hammond said.
During the annual meeting, Representative Hammond has been named First Vice President of SARL for a two year term, running 2019-2021. Hammond was also awarded the Calgary Stampede White Hat of Honor in conjunction with her election to the organization’s board.
