Hammond. “The deadline to purchase new health insurance plans through the State exchange is approaching, so I encourage constituents to utilize the resources available to you at Get Covered Illinois and find the best plan that fits your needs.”

Rep. Hammond is committed to expanding insurance coverage and lowering the cost of health care. In 2017, she supported House Bill 2959, which protects health insurance coverage for Illinoisans with pre-existing conditions. Earlier this year, Hammond supported Senate Bill 162, which expands access to life-saving breast cancer screenings like mammograms.

“Having access to affordable health care is critical to your wellbeing as well as your financial peace of mind,” Hammond continued. “I’ve been proud to support legislation that protects insurance coverage for those with pre-existing conditions and ensures access to life-saving medical care like breast cancer screenings. I will continue to advocate for policies that lower the cost of health care for residents in District 93 and across Illinois.”
