Rep. Hammond’s Office Hosting FOID Card Assistance Events In Early December

Macomb – State Representative Norine Hammond (R-Macomb) is announcing that her office is hosting three Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card Assistance Events in early December for those who need help applying for or renewing their FOID card.

“As a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and safe, responsible gun ownership, I am committed to making sure that gun owners in the 93rd District are able to apply for and renew their FOID cards in a timely manner,” said Rep. Hammond. “Navigating the FOID card application process can be difficult, especially since ISP no longer accepts paper applications. It is one of the most common questions our office gets from area residents. If you need assistance with the FOID card application process or have questions, consider attending one of our upcoming events.  The event is free and open to the public.”

FOID Card Assistance Events will be held at the following dates, times and locations:

11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Beardstown Houston Library

13 Boulevard Rd., Beardstown

11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Brown County Public Library

143 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling

11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Havana Public Library District

201 W. Adams St., Havana

Please bring a Driver’s License or State-issued ID card and your ISP online account information (username and password). If you are unable to attend any of these events, you may schedule an appointment with Rep. Hammond’s office in Macomb (331 N. Lafayette Street) or call to discuss the FOID application process over the phone. Her office can be reached at 309-836-2707.

Please note that updated FOID cards will not be issued on-site. ISP no longer accepts paper applications for FOID card renewals and applications as well. Only the ISP can issue a new FOID card. Rep. Hammond’s office is only able to help you assemble and submit your FOID card application. Applications must still be submitted to ISP.
