Rep. Hammond calls for end to emergency COVID orders

Governor Pritzker has issued 91 Executive Orders regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Rep. Norine Hammond said that as elected members of the Illinois General Assembly, legislators are responsible for representing the interests of constituents and voting on important policy matters, including the State’s COVID-19 response. Hammond asserted the General Assembly’s authority and responsibility to debate and enact critically important legislation during times of crisis.
