Join State Representative Norine Hammond and State Senator Neil Anderson for their 2nd Annual Fishing Derby on Saturday, Jun 14, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Goose Ranch, 25369 Goose Ranch Road in Canton.
This free event welcomes children 12 and under to cast their lines and compete for exciting prizes, including awards for biggest fish, most fish caught, and the Sportsman Award. Additionally, the first 50 kids to join in the fishing fun will receive a free rod/reel combo courtesy of Wildlife Forever.
The festivities kick off at 9:00 AM with a water/boat safety presentation by the Illinois Conservation Police, ensuring participants understand best practices while enjoying their time fishing. Fishing officially begins at 9:30 AM, followed by an award ceremony at 11:30 AM where winners will be announced.
