Today, I attended the annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial Ceremony at the State Capitol in Springfield. We honored the lives of firefighters lost in the line of duty and expressed our gratitude to all who serve and protect our communities.
The event is held on the Capitol grounds and brings firefighters from across the state together to join with lawmakers to honor the incredible bravery and sacrifice shown by firefighters and first responders across our state.
Thank you to the brave men and women who risk their lives to keep our communities safe.
